1. Agreement to Terms

By using this website (rltmarriagecounselling.ca) or engaging in counselling services with Rick Martin, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and Site Policies.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or engage our services.

 

2. Services Provided

RLT Marriage Counselling with Rick Martin offers relationship counselling services focused exclusively on couples, including marriage counselling, stepfamily counselling, premarital work, conscious uncoupling, relationship intensives, and support for singles.

All services are provided online through secure video platforms, unless otherwise arranged.

 

3. Payment Terms

Counselling sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in advance.

All payments are processed by The Human Physics Group (HPG). Billing receipts will be issued under HPG.

Accepted payment methods include secure online payment options provided through third-party processors.

Failure to attend a scheduled session without providing at least 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee equal to the full session cost.

 

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may reschedule your session up to two hours before the appointment using the online booking system.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling, except in cases of emergency.

Rick Martin reserves the right to reschedule sessions if needed due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be notified promptly.

 

5. Confidentiality and Client Privacy

All personal information and session content will be kept strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law, or where there is immediate risk of harm to you or others.

6. Online Session Expectations

Online sessions require a stable internet connection and a private space where you can participate without interruptions.

It is your responsibility to ensure your device and internet connection are working properly at the time of the session.

Sessions will be conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms.

 

7. Limits of Counselling Services

The services provided by Rick Martin through RLT Marriage Counselling are intended for couples counselling and relationship support.
These services are not intended to replace medical care, mental health diagnosis, psychiatric services, or crisis intervention.

If you or your partner are experiencing severe mental health challenges, addiction, or immediate safety concerns, you may be referred to specialized resources or services outside this practice.

 

8. Liability Disclaimer

RLT Marriage Counselling with Rick Martin and The Human Physics Group are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may result from using this website or counselling services.

Participation in counselling is voluntary. You are responsible for your own choices and the outcomes of your work within and outside of sessions.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, videos, and downloadable resources, are the property of Rick Martin and The Human Physics Group.
No content may be copied, shared, or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

 

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
