RLT Marriage Counselling Team

This Work Is Built on a Clear Model

RLT Marriage Counselling began as a solo practice.

It is now growing into a small team of coaches working within the same Relational Life Therapy model, the same standards, and the same expectations for real change.

What matters here is not just who you work with.

It is how the work is done.

Every coach in this practice works from the same foundation:

  • direct conversations that lead somewhere
  • accountability without blame
  • practical skills you can use outside the session

This keeps the work consistent.

And it keeps the results real.

Led by Rick Martin

He works directly with couples and remains actively involved in guiding the work across the practice.

  • maintain the standard of the work
  • support the development of each coach

Resident coaches are in the process of completing their Relational Life Therapy certification.

They have completed foundational training and are actively working with couples while continuing their development.

This is not a different approach.

It is the same work, delivered within a structured training path.

How We Decide the Right Fit

All new clients begin by speaking directly with Rick.

The introductory session is where we look at what is happening in your relationship, what kind of support you need, and what will serve you best.

From there, we decide together:

  • whether you continue working with Rick
  • or whether working with a resident coach is the right starting point

This keeps the process clear and ensures you are matched with the right level of support from the beginning.

Accessible Support Through the Team

Working with a resident coach can be a more accessible entry point into this work.

Sessions are offered at a reduced rate while coaches continue progressing through their training.

At the same time, the work remains grounded in the same model, supported through supervision, and focused on real change.

For many couples, this creates a meaningful way to begin.

What Stays Consistent

No matter who you work with, the foundation does not change.

You can expect:

  • a direct and honest approach
  • a focus on the relationship, not just the individuals
  • real-time work with the patterns between you
  • practical tools that translate into daily life

This is one model, applied consistently.
